Handmade cylindrical porcelain vases that 'flare' generously at the rim, finished in a black manganese glaze and gilded in 24ct goldleaf. These gilded ceramic vases are eye catching and sumptuous, the classic combination of gold and black complement the qualities of both.
The Flare vases are wheel-thrown, the elegant spiral indentation in the top half of each vase is an exaggerated throwing line, the curves of which contrast beautifully with the geometric straightness of the base, with gold leaf further augmenting the flare.
Like all items from the Jo Davies studio, each Flare Vase is handmade individually making every one of them a subtly unique artwork. Perfect for flower arrangements or as a decorative piece in their own right.

Care Instructions:
Handwash only using soft cloths. Please do not use abrasive chemicals on this surface. Gilded items can be used carefully but the 24ct goldleaf surface is delicate. The gilded element of their surface has been stabilised and protected by shellac but care should be taken in its use.

Items are securely packaged for transit but, in the rare event of a breakage, the item will be replaced. In this event customers need to notify the studio with images of breakage within 24 hours of arrival to secure replacement item.
